The next day, ATF agents interviewed Wheeler, who remained in custody at the hospital. Wheeler advised agents that he was injured when he mixed chemicals and they exploded. He also told the agents that he had previously made explosive devices and detonated them in his yard. A search warrant was executed at Wheeler’s residence in Glen Burnie by Anne Arundel County Police. Over the next two days law enforcement recovered, among other things: several improvised explosive devices, as well as the chemicals and explosive materials used to make them; drugs and drug paraphernalia; a Walther pistol, flare gun and signal flare launcher, along with a conversion kit to allow the launcher to shoot 12 gauge shot gun shells; and 12 gauge shot gun shells.

On September 24, 2014, at 11:16 p.m., Northern District officers responded to Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Amberly Road for a reported citizen robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the 20-year-old male victim and a male witness. The victim displayed visible injuries as a result of the attempted robbery. The investigation revealed that the victim and the witness went to a residence in the 100 block of Marley Neck Road to meet with known individuals who were going to purchase alcoholic beverages for them since they were under the age of 21.

Woman Says She Was Forcibly Raped By State’s Attorney Richard Fritz, 2 Others

The following is an interview with Carla Henning Bailey which was first published June 29, 1999 in ST. MARY’S TODAY.

Bailey told ST. MARY’S TODAY that she wanted to go “one-on-one” with Richard Fritz to answer his public statements that what occurred in November of 1964 at a house on St. George’s Island with her, Fritz and two other young men was a case of consensual sex, while she contends she was forcibly raped.

Bailey first disclosed her story in April, charging that she had been raped, saying that she wanted to be identified as the victim, pointing out that she had done nothing wrong or had done anything to be ashamed of. Bailey says that she wants to be able to tell what really happened as she is furious that Fritz is painting her to be tramp.

As part of that effort, large oyster sanctuaries have been established where oystering is either restricted or banned, making those areas tempting targets for one of Maryland’s other native species — the oyster pirate.

Sleuth tracked down bandit suspects in Good Day Market heist and ended their Good Days of freedom

Follow-up investigation by Det. Homer Rich of the Calvert Investigative Bureau revealed two possible suspects in this case, the suspect who entered the store and the suspect driver of the vehicle. Det. Rich was subsequently able to request the issuance of arrest warrants for Thomas Brian Smith Jr., 34, of Prince Frederick, driver of the vehicle, and Ronald Franklin Brown Jr., 33, of Leonardtown. Both men were arrested on September 21.

Reform school might suit the mad bomb and gun caller of Leonardtown High

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the school and initiated an investigation into the origin of the calls. As a result of that investigation, detectives identified a 14 year old female as the person making the false threats from inside the school on both occasions. The juvenile was placed under arrest, transported to the Sheriff’s Office, charged with making a false statement concerning a destructive device, regarding the September 18th incident and disruption of school activities regarding today’s incident. The juvenile was placed into the custody of the Department of Juvenile Services and transported to Waxter’s Children’s Center pending further action by juvenile authorities.

Delaware State Troopers Investigate Robberies of C-Stores; latino stores targeted

The suspect, who was wearing a mask covering his face, approached a 31 year old female clerk and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect then removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register drawer before fleeing in an unknown direction. A weapon was not displayed and the clerk was not injured.
