Brooks was arrested by Howard County Police on September 12 after they responded to the CVS located at 3300 Centennial Lane in Ellicott City for an armed robbery. A search warrant was then executed and evidence recovered connecting Brooks to the robberies in Montgomery County and Howard County. Brooks is also a suspect in two Carroll County cases and one Frederick County case. Brooks is currently being held in Howard County.

Specifically, Washington robbed: the Capital One Bank in the 11000 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland, on May 22nd, stealing $3,109; the TD Bank in the 700 block of Crane Highway in Glen Burnie Maryland on June 27th, stealing $1,694; the Capital One Bank in the 21000 block of Frederick Road in Germantown, Maryland, on July 24th, stealing $5,700; the Bank of Glen Burnie in the 1200 block of Generals Highway in Crownsville, Maryland, on September 17th, stealing $2,298; and the SunTrust Bank in the 4600 block of Old Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, Maryland, on September 26th, stealing $430.

Grandeur of The Seas passenger evacuated by Coast Guard from ship to Point Lookout

BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard medevaced a 58-year-old woman Friday from a cruise ship near Smith Point.

A crewmember aboard the Grandeur of the Seas contacted watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Baltimore at approximately 10 p.m. and requested a medevac for a 58-year-old woman who had sustained injuries during a fall.

Witnesses testified that the investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at Martin’s residence on April 24, 2013. Martin was interviewed by FBI Special Agents who testified that Martin told them that he believed officers were at his home that morning because he told several people that he had been watching an armored truck and planned on robbing it. Martin also admitted to the agents that he had recently been trying to purchase a gun.

Burglars did another job while Ocean City cops watched them; then pounced on the suspects

Ocean City detectives were able to identify the two suspects through electronic surveillance. Detectives then conducted surveillance on the suspects and observed the two commit a separate theft outside of Ocean City and unload the stolen items from that theft at Armitage’s residence in Ocean City. Detectives placed Collins and Armitage under arrest. A search and seizure warrant was later executed at Armitage’s residence where detectives located numerous stolen items
