Pedestrian Struck at Huntington Metro

Alexandria, Va. (Sept. 26, 2014) — Fairfax County Police report that a 41-year old woman died after being struck by a Connector Bus while walking on the roadway of the Huntington Metro Station at around 10:45 p.m. Thursday, September 25.

Lorena Gimenez, 41, of Alexandria was apparently walking in the lot but it is under investigation precisely how she was struck. There is no indication that speed or alcohol was factors in the crash, on the part of the bus driver, and no charges have been placed at this time.

Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives are continuing to investigate.
