Delaware State Troopers Investigate Robberies of C-Stores; latino stores targeted

Wilmington, Del. (-September 25, 2014) —  Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a convenience store that occurred early yesterday evening just south of Wilmington.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at approximately 7:15 p.m. as a male suspect entered the La Pequena Store located at 202 S. Maryland Avenue, Wilmington.

The suspect, who was wearing a mask covering his face, approached a 31 year old female clerk and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect then removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register drawer before fleeing in an unknown direction. A weapon was not displayed and the clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as a male, 5’08”-5’11” tall, and 160-190 lbs. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and jeans. No further physical or clothing description is available. Video surveillance is not available at this time.

La Oaxaquena robbed at gunpoint

Wilmington, Del. (Sept. 22, 2014) – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store located just west of Wilmington that occurred last night.

The initial investigation has determined that the robbery occurred on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at approximately 9:10 p.m. as a male suspect entered the La Oaxaquena Store located at 201 N. DuPont Road, Wilmington. The suspect displayed an unknown make and model handgun and confronted a 35 year old female clerk. He then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk before fleeing in a northbound direction on N. DuPont Road. The clerk was not injured as a result of this incident.

The suspect was described as a male, 5’06” tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark colored hooded jacket, and was wearing a mask covering his face.

Bandit with handgun says hand over the money

Lincoln, DE – Troopers are investigating a robbery of the Lincoln Store in which the subject brandished a gun.

Preliminary investigation reveals the incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. this morning when a black male entered the Lincoln Store located at 8405 Front Street and made contact with the 29 year old female employee at the counter.  The suspect displayed an unknown type handgun and demanded cash.  The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of currency before the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.  He was armed with an unknown type of handgun.

The female employee was uninjured in this incident.  There are no surveillance photos available.
