Potter conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Essex Drive and South Shangri La Drive, in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the operator of the vehicle, Deyonta Terrell Gross, 24, of 45965 Fox Chase Drive, #617, Great Mills, Md. ; Cpl. Potter smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle; a further search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of marijuana and suspected Oxycodone. ; Gross was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS-Not Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana Greater than 10 Grams. ; ; He was released on his own recognizance and has a trial set for April 10, 2018. A free-taxpayer provided attorney will be his ticket to doing time unless he hires a real lawyer like the Gunslinger Lawyer &#8211; Kevin J. McDevitt.</span></p>

Potter observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the 45000 block of Foxchase Drive, in Great Mills. ; Upon contact with the operator of the vehicle, Deyonta Terrell Gross, age 24, of Great Mills, Cpl. M. Beyer.</span></p>

Sheena Tirpak responded to the 48000 block of Keel Drive, in Lexington Park, for a reported assault. ; Upon arrival, contact was made with two victims who advised they were assaulted by Carl Edward White, 36, from of 21455 Ritz Drive, Lexington Park, Md., during a verbal argument. ; Police say that one of the victims displayed visible injury. White was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree. He was released on a $4,000 unsecured bond with a trial pending for March 27, 2018.  ;Attorney Rais Jaleel Akbar represents White.</span></p>



<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">White entered a guilty plea to felony distribution of drugs in St. Mary’s Circuit Court on May 6, 2011, after being indicted by the Grand Jury on Feb. 2, 2011. The secret sealed indictment was unveiled on Feb. 16, 2011. <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">LEONARDTOWN, MD. – Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on February 16, 2018, Deputy Ball responded to the St. Mary&#8217;s County Jail, in Leonardtown, for a reported fight between two inmates. ; The investigation revealed Melissa Kristen Tuzzo, 31, of 1180 Cordova Drive, Lusby, Md.,  ;and Serenity Faith Byrd, 24, of Great Mills, were involved in a mutual altercation over the T.V. volume in their dayroom. ; Tuzzo and Byrd were both charged with Assault 2nd Degree.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Tuzzo has a trial set for March 22, 2018, for failing to comply with a peace order with Matthew Connell, a taxpayer-provided free attorney designated as her relief hitter in District Court. Tuzzo was released from the slammer on Dec. 6, 2017 and returned for more rehabilitation on Jan. 17, 2018.</span></p>



<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Tuzzo entered a guilty plea to possession of drugs other than pot on Nov. 1, 2017, in a plea deal with Calvert County States Attorney Laura Martin. THE DEAL: No time, no fine and unsupervised probation for three years. Taxpayer provided free attorney Luke Woods worked this magic for Tuzzo.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">It will be a long time before Serenity Faith Byrd is as free as a bird due to her current sentence of three years in jail with 18 months suspended after she entered a guilty plea to fourth-degree burglary. Byrd a resident of 21989 Barkentine Court in Great Mills, when not engaging in beat-downs in jail, may have additional time added to her vacation at the Hotel St. Mary’s.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">LEONARDTOWN, MD. – Likely without anything to lose, Tyree is currently facing a criminal indictment on charges of burglary, theft, and possession with the intent to sell drugs as well as the use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime. The indictments were filed on Feb. 7, 2018, by the Grand Jury in St. Mary’s Circuit Court.</span></p>

Davis responded to the St. Mary&#8217;s County Jail for a reported property destruction. ; The investigation revealed Tyree Direckk Shields, 26, of Lexington Park, damaged the fire sprinkler in his cell, causing the sprinkler to activate and the fire alarm to activate </span>in<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> the facility. ; Shields was charged with Property Destruction. ; Shield’s middle name may have come to his mother while she was watching DIRECTV.</span></p>

Edwards responded to the St. Mary&#8217;s County Jail located in Leonardtown, for a reported assault. ; The Deputy’s investigation revealed Tiffany Nycole Gross, 42, of Lexington Park, assaulted two employees while she was being escorted. ; Gross began swinging her arms about, and struck one victim in the face, and struck another victim on the leg. ; Gross was charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree. ;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">CALIFORNIA, MD. – Sheriff Cameron reports that an alleged miscreant had drugs but no address. Police removed the drugs and gave her an address at the Hotel St. Mary’s. On February 23, 2018, Cpl. Stone conducted a traffic stop in the 22000 block of Three Notch Road, in California. ; Contact was made with the vehicle occupants; the passenger Rakeshia Janee Thomas, 27, with no fixed address, was found to have an outstanding warrant for Child Support; further investigation revealed Thomas was in possession of suspected cocaine and Suboxone. ; Thomas was arrested and served the outstanding warrant and also charged with two counts of CDS Possession- Not Marijuana, and two counts of CDS Possession- Paraphernalia. ;</span></p>

Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who advised Willie Matthew Coates, 43, of Great Mills, had assaulted the victim by strangling the victim. ; A visible injury was observed to the victim and Coates was arrested and charged with Child Abuse 2nd Degree- Custodian, Child Abuse 2nd Degree -House, and Assault 2nd Degree. ; Coates was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for two counts of Assault and Child Abuse 2nd Degree- House. ;</span></p>
