PINEY POINT, MD. — If drugs are so much fun, why is only one of the above folks smiling? The smile of Abigail Adams could fairly be characterized as being from the embarrassment of being arrested and having her mug shot taken. The others appear in various states of emotion showing being zoned out on drugs to simply being stoic over their situation.  In the end, their faces don’t present a view of those having a good day. Especially “Big Head” Morgan. He just might be out of business, at least for a while.

Rounding up another paddy-wagon full of drug suspects recently included “Big Head” Morgan of Piney Point, according to St. Mary’s Narco Unit Commander Capt. Daniel Alioto.

Information was received by detectives of drug activity in the Piney Point area and the source of the drug activity was Shannon Danielle Parker, 38, of Piney Point, Md..

The Story of The Rag aud covPolice say as the investigation continued, a vehicle stop was conducted by a member of the Vice/Narcotics Support Team on a vehicle in which suspect Parker was in.

A search revealed a digital scale, cocaine, methamphetamine and “suboxone”.

Parker and another suspect — Thomas Ronald Morgan aka “Big Head”, 50, of Piney Point, Md.,– were arrested.

A search and seizure warrant on the home led to nearly $1,000 worth of “crystal methamphetamine”, cocaine and other paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending a case review with the State’s Attorney’s Office.

Gerald Lawrence, 64, of Callaway, Md., was indicted for “Distribution of Cocaine”.

John Wendell Young, 40 of Leonardtown, Md., was indicted by detectives after he was found to be in possession of “Cocaine” and “Oxycodone” in sufficient amounts to indicate intent to distribute.

Travis Richardson, 28, of Lusby, Md., was identified as a distributor of cocaine in the Redgate area of St. Mary’s County. As a result of that investigation, a search and seizure warrant was obtained for his residence where detectives recovered cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials and a handgun. Suspect Richardson is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm. He was subsequently indicted for those charges as well as several counts of “distribution of cocaine” after detectives made multiple undercover purchases of cocaine from him.

Lewis Tyler Yates, 22, of St. Inigoes, Md., was indicted for “Distribution of Morphine” after detectives made undercover purchases from him.
