EMMITSBURG, MD. — Natural Resources police reports that a Pennsylvania man was charged Saturday with hunting over bait after officers on surveillance in Emmitsburg caught him guiding a juvenile who violated several regulations.

CHOPTANK RIVER, MD. — Using the excuses of not knowing where the oyster sanctuary was located, four Maryland watermen were nabbed for poaching oysters by the boatload, reports the Maryland Natural Resources Police.
Six members of the Natural Resources Police dive team searched a stretch of Smith Creek and a pier in front of Sullivan’s home on Jutland Drive, on Smith Creek, and recovered oysters, oyster shell and seed bags of the type used in aquaculture operations
