(December 11, 2014) – Ocean City Police report that they made room at the inn for another prisoner on December 10, 2014, at approximately 4:13 a.m. Ocean City officers responded to the area of 1st Street and Philadelphia Avenue for a report of trespassing. The suspect, later identified as Bryan K. Taylor, 48, of Ocean City, was given a trespass warning for the residence earlier in the morning in the presence of an officer and had returned to the property.
COMPTON, MD. — Fire destroyed a home in the small community of St. Clements Shores on Sunday, Dec. 14th injuring the owner of the home.
According to Deputy Fire Marshal Brenneman, the owner, Ruth Stewart, 91, accidentally left unattended grease on the stove causing a fire.
While District III officers were patrolling the Capitol Heights area they stopped two people with multiple bottles of alcoholic beverages, assorted snacks and toiletries. The officers discovered that these items had been stolen from a nearby business. Both people were arrested.

The investigation revealed that the victim was standing near a kitchen stove that was being used at the time. Her shirt came into contact with the hot stove and ignited. The resulting fire caused second and third degree burns to 30% of her body and was concentrated on her back. There was no other fire damage to the home upon investigation.
