Jewish Community Center aquatics instructor held on sexual solicitation of a child charges

TOWSON, MD. According to Baltimore County Police a Carroll County teacher who currently works as an aquatics instructor for the Jewish Community Center has been charged with soliciting sex with a child.

Police say that on July 15, detectives from the Crimes Against Children Unit received information about a subject who wanted to purchase a child for a sexual act.

The investigation into this incident has indicated that the suspect wanted to purchase a 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy for sex. A detective assumed an undercover identity, posed as a pimp, and began online communication with the suspect. During an online conversation with the suspect, the detective also posed as a 15-year-old boy. The suspect indicated in that conversation that he wanted to engage in a sexual act with the boy.

The investigation into this incident by Violent Crimes Unit detectives has indicated that the victim and a friend were walking his bicycle on Allenswood Road when they were approached by two suspects. One of the suspects had a rifle and announced a robbery. When the victim refused to give the suspects anything, the suspect with the rifle shot him several times. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

DEA and Baltimore County Police Nab Molly Maker Gang

TOWSON, MD. — Baltimore County Police report that they have charged three persons in connection with a narcotics investigation that led to a search warrant being served on a Walker Avenue 21212 home on Wednesday.

•Priscilla W Sheldon-Cost (51) of the 700 block of Walker Avenue 21212. She is charged with narcotics related offenses and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $30,000 bail.
•Thomas Ronald Joyave (52) of the 700 block of Walker Avenue 21212. He is charged with narcotics offenses and is free on $20,000 bail.
•Vincent Mark Ricker (24) of the 7700 block of Fairgreen Road 21222. He is charged with narcotics offenses and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $30,000 bail.

Janitor at synagogue charged with sharing kiddie porn

Further investigation indicated that this source was located in a home in the 6600 block of Edenvale Road 21209. Detectives served a search and seizure warrant on that home and recovered numerous computer storage media items. Some of these items were found to contain images of child pornography.

The investigation has indicated that 44-year-old Jonathan J Lewin of the home in the 6600 block of Edenvale Road 21209 was responsible for the images on the computer storage media and that he knowingly and willfully possessed and distributed child pornography. He was taken into custody by detectives at the home.
