Lennon gave up without an incident, according to Maryland State Police Spokesman Gregory Shipley. Shipley noted that the trooper used less than lethal force in attempting to take a man with a visible gun into custody.

The suspect picked up the cash and walked away in the direction of the Dollar General store, leaving the taser behind.

At about 3 p.m., the woman once again pointed her weapon directly at a tactical officer and said, “If you don’t leave, I’m going to kill you.” At that point, fearing for the officers’ lives, one of the officers fired his weapon. The woman returned fire, firing two shots.
