BALTIMORE BIKE-JACKERS

UPDATE (07/07/2014) Baltimore County Police have charged a second suspect in connection with a June 30 shooting in Randallstown that left one person injured.

Hiydeen Devon Green-Womack (21) has been charged with attempted first degree murder, first degree assault, and armed robbery.

The victim was walking his bicycle on Allenswood Road June 30 when he was approached by the suspects who announced a robbery. He was shot after he refused to give the suspects any property.

Jalaal Kamal Vass (22) was charged in the connection with the incident on July 1.

Both Hiydeen Devon Green-Womack and Jalaal Kamal Vass are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

UPDATE (July 2):

Baltimore County Police have charged a person in connection with the June 30 shooting in Randallstown that left one person injured.

Jaleel Kamal Vass (22) of the 9000 block of Samoset Road 21133 is charged with attempted first degree murder and armed robbery. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The investigation into this incident by Violent Crimes Unit detectives has indicated that the victim and a friend were walking his bicycle on Allenswood Road when they were approached by two suspects. One of the suspects had a rifle and announced a robbery. When the victim refused to give the suspects anything, the suspect with the rifle shot him several times. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The rifle used in this incident has been recovered.

This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department Violent Crimes Unit.

Original release (July 1):

At 11:26 p.m. Monday night, Baltimore County Police and Fire Personnel responded to the area of Allenswood Road and Offutt Road 21133 for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived in the area, they found an adult male victim lying in the street at Allenswood Road and Casandra Road. He was suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

This incident is under active investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department Violent Crimes Unit. Detectives will be trying to determine if this was a targeted crime.
