At 7:13 PM, a male victim drove into the Sheetz gas station parking lot, located on the corner of Great Mills Road and Point Lookout Road, after he saw the police and ambulance (treating the earlier victim). The victim, identified as Maxwell Jason Heyliger, 35, of Lexington Park, was exiting the parking lot of the Sign of the Whale liquor store, located on 21899 Three Notch Road in Lexington Park, when approximately 2 rounds struck his vehicle; one of which struck Heyliger in the hand.

Virginia Police Beat: Brad T. Cartwright killed when he slammed into crash scene on I-295 in Henrico County

Virginia State Police Trooper D. Miller’s investigation of the crash revealed that a 2003 Pierce pumper truck (Henrico Fire Unit) was sitting in the left and center lane with lights activated when it was struck by a southbound 2013 Honda Civic. Two Henrico firefighters that were still in the truck at the time of the crash were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda, Brad T. Cartwright, 31, of Fredericksburg, Va., died at the scene; he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Stacey Lynn Fuller Identified as Murder Victim in Mobile Home Fire

ELKRIDGE, MD. – A woman’s whose body was found in a fire that destroyed a mobile home has been declared a murder victim by Howard County Police.

Police have confirmed the identity of a woman found dead inside her residence during a fire in the Capitol Mobile Park in Elkridge this morning. Stacey Lynn Fuller, 39, of the 6600 block of Washington Blvd.

She was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene, say police. It appeared she had suffered a traumatic injury unrelated to the fire, possibly a gunshot wound.

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/ Fugitive Division reported the extradition of Vinnie Taylor who had been arrested by the St. Louis Police Department on an arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder that was obtained by the Prince George’s County Police on December 10th, 2014.

Pirate Poacher Update: Tilghman Island Waterman William J. Lednum Sent to Prison in Massive Rockfish Heist

The investigation in this case started in February 2011 when the Maryland Department of Natural Resources found tens of thousands of pounds of striped bass snagged in illegal, anchored nets before the season officially reopened.

The conspirators were seen on the water in the vicinity of the illegal nets. The subsequent investigation unveiled a wider criminal enterprise to which Hayden and Lednum pleaded guilty on Aug. 1, 2014. Co-defendant Kent Conley Sadler, 31, also of Tilghman Island, previously pleaded guilty to his participation in the conspiracy and is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 21, 2014. Hayden and Lednum face a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The defendants have agreed to pay restitution to the state of Maryland of between $498,293 and $929,625. The defendants have further agreed to forfeit the monetary equivalent of 80 percent of the value of the vessel primarily used during the conspiracy.
