SALISBURY, MD. — Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis reports that instead of shooting her boyfriend, a Salisbury woman simply shot her rifle into the air, saving the medical examiner extra work.

Police say that on Jan. 20, 2015 at 11:30 PM deputies responded for the report of a subject firing a weapon in a yard in the 3000 block of Devonshire Drive in Salisbury. Upon arrival, they learned that Donna Haddock, 45, of Salisbury, had become upset with her boyfriend at which point she went into the back yard and allegedly discharged a rifle into the air multiple times. The other residents of the house took shelter inside until the arrival of law enforcement. This incident caused a significant disturbance in the neighborhood as well.

When police and EMT workers arrived they report that they found the driver unconscious and upon rushing him to Atlantic General, in spite of CPR being administered along the way, the driver was pronounced dead.

(Federalsburg, MD) – Members of the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division Upper Shore, assisted by agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested a Dorchester County man at his residence last night where a large amount of stolen goods were recovered.

Robert Francis Palmer, 44 of the 5600-block of Fooks Avenue Federalsburg, Dorchester County Maryland is being charged with theft 10,000 to $100,000, theft Scheme 10,000 to $100,000, and burglary 4th degree. Palmer was arrested at his residence without incident and taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial court appearance.

LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – Police say that a man who stole a truck after trying to choke a person raced away from a patrol car on Great Mills Road and then crashed into the porch of mobile home in Lord Calvert Trailer Park in Great Mills.

The record of this five-time DUI driver stretches back for years in Maryland and spans three counties and four different States Attorneys and at least that many District Court and Circuit Court Judges. St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on January 21, 2015, at 8:18 PM, deputies responded to a residence in the 19000 block of Three Notch Road for a reported assault. While responding to the residence, the Emergency Communications Center, (ECC), advised the suspect identified as Christopher Lee Cotsford, 32, of Great Mills, allegedly stole a vehicle, 1997 Ford Explorer, and fled the scene.
