Ocean City Police Beat: motorist dead after veering into utility pole

Driver dead in morning wreck

OCEAN CITY, MD.  – Ocean City Police report the death of an Ocean City motorist who veered off Baltimore Ave. near 6th Street and hit a utility pole.

When police and EMT workers arrived they report that they found the driver unconscious and upon rushing him to Atlantic General, in spite of CPR being administered along the way, the driver was pronounced dead.

Police identified him as Walter Milan Corey, 56, of Ocean City, Md.

Police report that they are uncertain of what might have caused Corey to lose control of the vehicle and that the results of the autopsy are pending completion.
