To support ASMFC’s conservation efforts, NRP officers continued stepped up enforcement in January even though the number of fish and temperatures plummeted. During the first three weeks, officers checked more than 56 recreational anglers (vs. 34 in all of January 2014), 16 watermen (vs. 25) and 59 charter fishermen (vs. 0). They also conducted inspections of eight seafood markets and distributors. Officers logged more than 70 vessel and 100 dockside foot patrol hours.

Death occurs minutes after a victim stops breathing, and often occurs before first responders arrive at the scene. Naloxone administered by bystanders early can be life-saving.”
Previous studies have shown that the administration of naloxone by bystanders has reversed the effects of an opioid overdose in anywhere from 75 to 100 percent of documented cases.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m. today, Maryland State Police at the Glen Burnie Barrack were dispatched to Bald Eagle Drive and Combat Drive, in Ft. Meade, for the report of a plane crash. Responding fire and rescue personnel were on the scene as troopers arrived. The single-engine plane was on its top in a wooded area. The two men injured were the only people on-board the plane.

Now, police say that a simple app on a smart phone designed to accept credit card payments from customers was used to scam over two thousand bucks from an Ocean City restaurant.
