As the pursuit continued east on Route 460 near the Town of Windsor, the fleeing felon Futrell crashed into an Acura SUV, abandon his vehicle, fleeing on foot. Futrell fled to a nearby wrecker company where he stole a tow truck. Troopers terminated the pursuit to render assistance to the driver and passenger of the Acura SUV.
The Sheriff identified the teacher, Kelly Riddle, 32, of Salisbury, who allegedly sent frequent text messages to the juvenile that were interpreted as expressing love and affection. During the investigation it was revealed that the messaging had been ongoing for over eleven months between the teacher and student.
During the course of the investigation, investigators from Criminal Enforcement Division learned that Mills began having sexual intercourse with a juvenile during the summer of 2014. In addition, it was learned that Mills was also having sexual intercourse with an additional juvenile starting in March 2015.
Police say that they responded to the scene of a shooting in the northbound lanes of 295 at Exit 1 at 8:51 am on May 28, 2015 and found two adult males suffering from gunshots. Since one man was dead at the scene, only the injured man was taken to a hospital.
Arrests are down 50% and it seems that the police force is being very careful in how it reacts to crime. Rather than patrol and possibly prevent crime, it seems that the police force has decided to wait until a crime occurs and then appear. Last weekend was the worst crime spree in this century for Baltimore.
Overnight Homicide: 800 block of W Fayette St. An adult male was shot at the location and has died.
The crash occurred when the hospital ship USNS Mercy and a civilian tugboat contracted by the Navy were maneuvering in the harbor. Either the tugboat or the Mercy hit the dock, Wines said. The Navy and the Park Service said in a statement the incident was being investigated.
Detectives are also investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in the 2900 block of Boones Lane in Forestville. Two suspects demanded cash from an employee on May 19th at about 11:15 pm. The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that an adult male victim was on a tractor in a field when he was hit once by gunfire. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody without incident and positively identified as the suspect from the robbery. Northern District Detectives interviewed the suspect, who admitted committing the robbery.
