Fatal crash driver Sam Ellis cited for underage booze rap and fighting in Ocean City prior to double fatal crash

On June 2, 2015 the party boy Sam Ellis was reveling in Ocean City, Maryland along with thousands of other newly graduated high school students when he was arrested by Ocean City Police Officer R. Flanagan. The criminal charge which is pending in Worcester County District Court for a hearing on July 9, 2015 is for the criminal charge of “affray”, which means participating in a fight among several persons, often associated with a riot or rumble.

Witnesses at the scene, along with statements from the victim identified the suspects. Both suspects were located at their respective residences in Caroline County and taken into custody without incident by the Maryland State Police Apprehension Team. Sheriff deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.

Southern Md. Police Beat: Dad shot self and left his baby to die in Indian Head home two days before Dad’s day

Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that the father of James Robert Barker apparently shot himself, two days before Father’s Day, in what police believe was a case of suicide. The man left his baby alone and the child died. What police did not say was whether they were investigating if the man was responsible for the baby’s death prior to taking his own life.

Delaware State Police Beat: Police believe speed and booze sent Jeep flipping into pole; cut in half, killing driver

The initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred as a 46-year-old Middletown, Del., man was operating a 2002 Jeep Liberty and was traveling in a northbound direction on Dexter Corner Road north of Ratledge Road, just south of Townsend. For an unknown reason, the Jeep left the east edge of Dexter Corner Road before veering back onto the roadway and leaving the west edge where it began to overturn.

Charles County Sheriff Police Beat: Charles Sheriff’s Deputy Warker Saved Man from Dying in House Fire

Upon crawling on the floor, Officer Warker noticed a pair of white socks. Soon he realized the socks were on a man who was lying on the floor unconscious. Officer Warker dragged the man to the front door where neighbors Thomas and Chris Yarbrough helped get him out. CCSO Sgt. Ashley Burroughs – who had just arrived on the scene –helped Officer Warker and Mr. Yarbrough carry the man to the street, away from the house.

Body of Jake Zorn recovered in Susquehanna River

Rescue Boat 71 was in the water shortly after dispatch with the crew heading north in the Susquehanna River to start the search. Just north of the boat launch the crew noticed a light in the water and headed towards the object. The crew located a male subject holding onto a cooler and pulled him aboard. The patient advised he was in a canoe that had overturned with another male and that he had lost contact with him before our arrival.
