Laurel: Jeffrey Ellis sentenced to 78 months in prison on kiddie porn charge

At least 250 images, including videos, of child pornography were recovered from the seized items. Logs and chats involving Ellis were also recovered from one of the laptop computers and hard drive. The recovered chats included conversations in which Ellis stated that he was having sex with a 13-year old girl and that he had been having sex with her for approximately two years. Ellis also sent a photo of the girl to the person with whom he was chatting. The child was identified and interviewed by law enforcement.

In the suit, Clinton, Md., resident Ricardo Smith says that the Post also reneged on this assurance to approximately 60 other independent contractors just like him. A federal judge had given Smith the green light to pursue a class action lawsuit on their behalf. But the settlement pre-empts that claim.
Terms of the settlement, filed April 24 with United States District Court for the District of Columbia Circuit, are confidential. In a brief telephone conversation Smith confirmed there was a settlement but declined to elaborate. “I can’t talk about that, man.”

Also, on May 13, 2013, McBride and his conspirators drove to Capitol One Bank in Suitland, Maryland, to rob the bank but left without having obtained any money.

Quinn began stealing tools from GE Aviation’s inventory no later than 2009 and resold the stolen tools over the Internet. Most of the stolen hardware consisted of high-speed carbide drill bits. Purchasers paid for the stolen tools by depositing funds into Quinn’s personal PayPal account. According to PayPal records, between 2009 and July 2013, Quinn realized more than $108,000 from sales of carbide drill bits. The cost to GE of the stolen tools was at least $200,000
