The Dover Police Department responded to 16 shoplifting calls between Noon on February 12th and Noon on February 19th. Of those 16 shoplifting complaints, one was unfounded, five are still under investigation, one store declined prosecution, and arrests were made/warrants obtained in 9 cases. A total of 10 adults were arrested or are wanted for shoplifting during this period.

Officers located the victims and their vehicle, which had numerous bullet holes in it. However, neither part inside of the car was struck by any rounds that were fired. The male victim was taken to Kent General Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Had he ventured away from Montgomery County by a few miles the police would have been called to remove his lame carcass after having expired of lead poisoning.

Kurt Andrew Simmons, 29, of Centreville, was charged by NRP with having a loaded firearm in a vehicle, casting rays (jacklighting), hunting deer without a license, hunting out of season, deer hunting at night and hunting while intoxicated. Queen Anne’s County charged him with driving under the influence.
