<h2>Maryland State Police Beat / Heroin, Crack, Pot-packing, and Oxy led the bill while DUI arrests brought up the rear; Darryl Icenhower had a backup plan to get blitzed with if his heroin didn’t work</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">PRINCE FREDERICK, MD. – Drugs &; booze remained popular in recent days in Calvert County as a procession of miscreants took to the highways with their favorite narcotic and blend of firewater. The following incidents and arrests are reported by the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack:</span></p>
<h2>HEROIN HIGHWAY TO HELL: Darryl Icenhower had a backup plan to get blitzed with if his heroin didn’t work</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">PRINCE FREDERICK, MD. – Police say that on 2/6/18 at 11:18 pm, Maryland State Police Corporal Esnes stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 near German Chapel Road in Prince Frederick. Trooper First Class Rucker arrived to assist. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A K-9 scan was requested and resulted in a positive alert. A probable cause search revealed Heroin. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A secondary search at the detention center revealed a smoking device containing suspected crack cocaine. Darryl W. Icenhower, 25, of 11558 San Rafael Drive, Lusby, Md., was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Jail.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> Icenhower has heroin charges pending against him in Charles County Circuit Court and a bonafide free attorney paid for by the taxpayers, Derrick C. Johnson, representing him for trial on April 12, 2018 – unless of course he takes the HEROIN HIGHWAY TO HELL and dies of an overdose prior to that date.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Icenhower was arrested by Calvert Deputy Sheriff Naughton on Sept. 15, 2017, for possession of heroin paraphernalia. Another taxpayer-provided free attorney, Luke Woods, is handling the case in Calvert District Court which is set for trial on Feb. 21, 2018.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">When charged by Charles County Officer Bourgeois with heroin possession on May 9, 2013, Icenhower got a free pass from Charles County States Attorney Anthony Covington who put the charges on the Stet Docket on Aug. 6, 2013. In that case, Icenhower paid for the services of attorney Hammad Shaikh Matin.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Icenhower was sentenced to 18 months in jail and probation for 5 years after he entered a guilty plea on April 28, 2016, to conspiracy to first-degree burglary in Charles County Circuit Court following an indictment by the Charles County Circuit Court Grand Jury. After violating his probation, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest on May 8, 2017.</span></p>
<h2>David Capizzi was just horsing around with horse</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">LUSBY, MD. –Police say that on 2/10/18 at 3:52 pm, Trooper First Class Palumbo stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 near Parran Road in Lusby for traffic violations. Because of several indicators observed, a K-9 scan of the vehicle was requested. The K-9 scan resulted in a positive alert. A search of the vehicle revealed suspected heroin. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">David L. Capizzi, 47, of 3015 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, Md., was arrested for possession of heroin and was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Capizzi was indicted by the Calvert County Grand Jury for felony first-degree burglary and in a plea deal with the Calvert States Attorney on July 8, 2013, entered a guilty plea. THE DEAL: ten years in prison with all but two years and nine days suspended. Credit was given for 739 days of time served. Capizzi is a proud graduate of the Calvert County Drug Court with his matriculation taking place on Aug. 24, 2017 – allowing him time to celebrate by shooting up with more heroin. On Feb. 16, 2018, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Theft/Shoplifting / Possession of Drugs / Disorderly Conduct: On 2/13/18 at 11:29 pm, Trooper First Class Robinson responded to the Walmart in Dunkirk for a reported intoxicated subject. Debra M. Vaughn, 28 of Baltimore was located and the investigation revealed numerous shoplifted items in her possession. A search prior to arrest revealed cocaine/alprazolam and Oxycotin. Vaughn was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Possession of Marijuana: On 2/16/18 at 6:32 am, Trooper First Class Matthews stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 near Plum Point Road in Huntingtown for traffic violations. A strong odor of raw marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed 12 grams of marijuana and .4 grams of (THC) marijuana oil. Devontae M. Gray, 23 of Suitland was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">House Party &#8211; Underage Drinking: Police report that on 2/18/18 at 12:30 am, Trooper Foley responded to the 3700 block of Larkview Court in Dunkirk on a tip stating a possible underage drinking house party posted on Instagram. The investigation revealed the homeowners were out of town. Nine (9) juveniles were issued Uniform Juvenile Civil Citations for the Alcohol Offense and three (3) 18-year-old females were issued Adult Uniform Civil Citations for consuming alcohol. The seven (7) remaining people at the party did not consume alcohol. The individuals that were 18 years of age that had consumed alcohol were released to a sober driver. The juveniles were released to their parents.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle: On 2/18/18 at 1:22 am, Trooper Backus responded to the 7700 block of Pine Blvd. in Lusby for a reported unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that John H. Branham Jr., 29 of Lusby had removed the vehicle from the residence after being told previously that he would not be able to use it. A warrant/summons has been requested for Unauthorized Removal of Property for Branham Jr. The investigation remains open.</span></p>
