Maryland State Police Beat / HEROIN HIGHWAY TO HELL – Jason Morgal charged with heroin
NORTH BEACH, MD. Maryland State Police in Prince Frederick reports that on July 13, 2017, at 10:14 pm, Trooper First Class Matthews responded to the 3700 block of 8th St. in North Beach for a reported CDS complaint. The homeowner reported finding Heroin in a basement bedroom when checking on the property. Several items were noted to have been removed from the home. The investigation revealed a TV that was removed from the residence had been taken to a local pawn shop. Jason T. Morgal, 22, of Bowie was located and arrested for possession of heroin and theft. Morgal was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

PRINCE FREDERICK, MD. — Possession of Methadone: On 7/12/17 at 7:12 pm, Trooper First Class Rucker stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 at the Navy Rec. Center in Solomon’s for traffic violations. Michael L. Semiklose, 31, of 26256 Mar A Lee Court, Mechanicsville, Md., was found to be in possession of Methadone and charged with possession of prescription drugs without a label. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
In 2014, St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Capt. Dan Alioto, the chief of the Narco Squad, reported the arrest of Michael Leonard Semiklose, 29, of Lexington Park, and was identified by police as a distributor of heroin. A search and seizure warrant was obtained and executed on his home. Police say that Heroin and other evidence were recovered from the home and Semiklose was arrested. Additional charges are pending a State’s Attorney’s Office review.
Charged with possession of heroin on Aug. 27, 2014, by St. Mary’s Deputy Tirpak, Semiklose entered into a plea deal in District Court with St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz on Nov. 20, 2014. THE DEAL: in return for a guilty plea Semiklose was sentenced to probation for one year and a fine of $442.50. $350.00 of the fine was suspended in this deal.

PRINCE FREDERICK, MD. – Police report that on July 16, 2017, at 12:47 am, Trooper First Class Costello located an intoxicated person walking on Rt. 4 near Wood Acres Court in Prince Frederick. Johnny W. Caputo, 55 of La Plata advised his vehicle had broken down and he was attempting to get to Prince Frederick. While transporting Caputo to Prince Frederick, Costello observed a possible weapon in Caputo’s pocket. After a pat down, an expandable metal baton was located. Caputo was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
