LEXINGTON PARK, MD. –Police say that the Hellcats must have had too much sugar in their pancakes at IHOP. On May 19, 2017, at 11:23 p.m., Trooper K. Bauer responded to IHOP in Lexington Park for a reported fight in progress. Upon arrival, he observed the manager attempting to separate two juvenile females from fighting.  Damage to property, as a result of the altercation, is estimated at approximately $200.  Both juveniles (14 years of age) were arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Malicious Destruction of Property.  They were transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing and they were later released to the custody of their families who just may have preferred both of them be sent to reform school.

Victim of burglary reported a Mantz in his bedroom; ex-con on fast track to return to prison – for another burglary

LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – Maryland State Police report that on June 4, 2017, at 5:17 p.m., TFC A. Opirhory responded to the 21000 block of Atlanta Street, Lexington Park for a reported burglary.

When the victim entered his bedroom, he observed an unknown white male who had blood on his arms and legs attempting to steal his personal items.

Upon arrival, the victim advised he arrived home and heard noises coming from his bedroom. When the victim entered his bedroom, he observed an unknown white male who had blood on his arms and legs attempting to steal his personal items. The suspect fled from the residence.  Witness information was obtained, which led to a possible suspect, who lived in the neighborhood. 
Police say that TFC Opirhory responded to the suspect’s residence at 21655 Atlanta Street, Lexington Park, Md., and identified the suspect as Adam James Mantz, 36. Mantz was arrested for Second Degree Burglary and Malicious Destruction of Property.  The alleged dirtbag burglar was released on June 6, 2017, from jail. Matthew Connell, a free taxpayer provided attorney is representing Mantz.

Mantz entered a guilty plea on May 27, 2010, in St. Mary’s Circuit Court in a plea deal with St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz.  THE DEAL: Ten years in prison with five years suspended with credit for 430 days of time served and probation for three years. The incarceration provided a pause in Mantz’s criminal career and a gap in his record. While in jail, Mantz was charged with assaulting jailers.
