MAN BLOWS MOTHER TO KINGDOME COME

NORFOLK, Va. – Perhaps this bozo didn’t get any more money from his mommy for drugs or she wouldn’t let him take her car after bringing it back empty of gas and with dented fenders. Whatever the reason, Norfolk Police reports that a shooting early Saturday morning has resulted in a mother’s death, and her son facing murder charges.
Shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday morning police received a call for a woman who had been shot in the 7900 block of Westcliff Drive.
The woman, 43-year-old Sonya Hunter, was found outside the residence, on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, but died shortly after 3 p.m.
Shawn Hunter, 22, the victim’s son, was taken into custody inside the home without incident.
He has been charged with 2nd-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Hunter is currently in the Norfolk City Jail held with no bond.
The three small children found near the scene unharmed, were relatives of the Hunters’ and are now with their parents.
A motive has not yet been determined in this incident, say police.
