MURDER USANORFOLK, Va. (Jan.30, 2016) – Some families have a big breakfast on a cold winter morning, others add in a selection of bullets.

Norfolk Police reports that a man is in police custody following a shooting in Norfolk that left a woman seriously injured.

Police received a call at 9:08 Saturday morning for a woman who had been shot in the 7900 block of Westcliff Drive.

The woman was found outside the residence, on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics rushed her to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries.

A man was detained inside the residence without incident. Charges are pending.

Police also located three small children near the scene, all unharmed.

Police say that the relationship between the man and woman has not been determined at this time, or a possible motive for the shooting, leaving open the possibility that she burned the bacon.

Norfolk Police reports that the weekend got off to a good start when a man’s body was pulled from the water in Norfolk early Friday evening, Jan. 29, 2016.

Shortly before 4:00 p.m., dispatchers received a call for service from a concerned citizen. The citizen reported seeing a body partially submerged in the waterway under the Lafayette Bridge.

Police and Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, near the intersection of E. 26th Street and Villa Circle.

The body was located and immediately pulled from the water.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Norfolk Police Detective Division has classified this incident as an undetermined death investigation. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the man’s death are unknown.

The man has yet to be positively identified and his personal information will not be released until his family is properly notified.

Do you know this thug Robbed citizen at gunpoint and used his credit card in NorfolkNorfolk, Va. – Norfolk Police reports that Detectives have developed a major lead in an active robbery investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.

On January 13, 2016, a man reported he was robbed in the 5600 block of Lowery Road. At 2:30 a.m., the victim stated a dark-colored Infinity sedan pulled up next to him. Two men exited the sedan and approached the victim, who was walking along the roadway.

One suspect brandished a handgun and both demanded the victim’s property. Once the suspects were provided the victim’s personal items, they fled from the area in the vehicle.

The investigation has revealed the victim’s bank card was used at a local ATM following the robbery. Photographs were obtained of the money withdraw and clearly show a possible suspect.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect shown in the photos.

The suspects have been described as the following:

(1) Black male with a dark complexion and a heavy build, standing approximately 5’8″ in height with facial hair and blue contact lenses, last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt

(2) Black male with a light complexion, approximately 5’11” in height, with black hair and last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt

With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, NPD successfully arrested a wanted violent felon Thursday evening.

Ceason D. Moore Jr, 24, was arrested in connection with a New Year’s Day shooting that left a man with serious injuries.

Moore was wanted for malicious wounding, attempted robbery, use of firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was taken into custody without incident at 4:40 p.m. in the 9500 block of Atlans Street in Norfolk.

24-year-old Ceason D. Moore Jr. was wanted for a shooting that occurred New Year’s day in the 1000 block of Hugo Street that left a man with serious injuries.

Moore, of the 800 block of Workwood Road, has active felony warrants for malicious wounding, attempted robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
