Glen Burnie Police Beat: thugs shot at fleeing victim with bullets flying through nearby homes

1st Degree Assault/ Shots Fired:

Glen Burnie, Md. — According to Anne Arundel County Police, a would-be armed robber fired repeatedly at a fleeing victim and hot lead began flying through nearby homes.

On Friday, August 8, 2014, at approximately 9:55 pm, Anne Arundel County Police Officers responded to the 400 Blk. of Secluded Post Circle, Glen Burnie, for shots fired through the window of a residence.

Investigation revealed that a 27-year-old male visiting family was walking in the 7900 Blk. of Gentle Breeze Court when he was approached on foot by a male who was armed with a handgun. The victim began to flee the area and ran towards Secluded Post Circle while being chased by the armed male. The suspect fired multiple shots at the victim from a semi-automatic handgun.

As a result, a bullet travelled several hundred feet across the street and went through the front window of an occupied residence in the 400 Blk. of Secluded Post Circle. That round eventually lodged into an interior wall in the residence approximately four feet above a sleeping occupant of the home.

Witnesses described hearing at least 3-4 gun shots. They then observed a mid-2000’s two-tone black and grey Chevrolet Avalanche with chrome wheels occupied by two Black male’s leaving the area. Additionally, witnesses observed a Black male, mid 20’s, 6-00, thin build, medium length dreads, dark complexion, walking in the 7900 Blk. of Gentle Breeze Ct. minutes before the shots were fired.

Suspect vehicle: Mid 2000’s Chevrolet Avalanche, black & grey two tone, chrome wheels

Suspect:Black male mid 20’s, 6-00, thin build, dark complexion, medium length dreads hairstyle. Last seen wearing: Dark Shirt/Blue jeans/blue bandana on head.
