Northern Neck Police Beat: dirtbags vandalized Historyland Cemetery

Historyland Cemetery vandalized in King George

KING GEORGE, VA. — Historyland Memorial Cemetery, located on Rt. 301 in King George County, was victimized by thieves over this past weekend. Numerous bronze vases were stolen from headstones in the cemetery.

This incident is currently under investigation. If you have any information regarding this crime, or have a loved one who’s grave was victimized, please contact the King George Sheriff’s Office at (540) 775-2049.

Rt. 301 crosses the Potomac River by the Gov. Harry W. Nice Bridge. The bridge opened in 1941 and had guards posted against German saboteurs during WWII.
