Hong Young of Beltsville charged with being the Mad Shooter of Hanover

Consequently, the officers conducted an investigative traffic stop on the vehicle, a blue 1999 Lincoln Town Car, near Costco in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. Inside of the vehicle, officers located .380 shell casings in plain view along with a .380 semi-automatic handgun, which is the same caliber handgun used in the shots fired incidents. Ballistics testing on the gun and casings preliminarily indicates a match. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle as identified as Hong Young, 35, of 4909 Daisy Creek Terrace in Beltsville, Maryland. Young was taken into custody and subsequent interviews along with the evidence recovered from the vehicle confirmed that he was responsible for all five shots fired incidents in the region.

Metro Transit Police announce arrest of Daniel Alan Groseclose for copper theft

The Metro Police announced the arrest of Daniel Alan GROSECLOSE, 42, of Edgewater, Md., on grand larceny charges following an investigation into theft of copper from a Rosslyn construction site. It is alleged that on at least two occasions last fall, Groseclose stole sections of copper wire and tubing from the site.

GROSECLOSE worked as an employee for KONE, which is responsible for maintenance of selected escalators and elevators on the Metrorail system. The copper was owned by M.C. Dean, Inc.

Police say that on January 21, 2015, at approximately 5:04 p.m., Eastern District Corporal Apuzzio responded to the unit block of Milburn Circle for a report of an air conditioning unit that was stolen from a shed.

Murder USA: Seydou Ba killer sought in Anne Arundel

Homicide detectives were able to identify the deceased as Seydou Alassane Ba, 46, of the 400 block of Christopher Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Detectives have notified family members and are in the process of conducting interviews with several witnesses. The Anne Arundel County Recruit Class responded to the area this afternoon and conducted an extensive search of the area looking for items of possible evidentiary value.
