Brian Keith Cain Sr. Charged with Serial Burglary After Neighbor Took Note of Thievery
PASADENA, MD. — Great neighbors are great to have, as so many folks know. Anne Arundel County Police report that one neighbor on Milburn Circle came through like a champ and helped the police track down and incarcerate a serial burglar.
Police say that on January 21, 2015, at approximately 5:04 p.m., Eastern District Corporal Apuzzio responded to the unit block of Milburn Circle for a report of an air conditioning unit that was stolen from a shed.
Corporal Apuzzio spoke with a neighbor, who indicated he observed a suspect pull up to the residence and remove an air conditioning unit from the property.
The alert neighbor, who was watching the residence for the homeowner, immediately took pictures of the suspect and his vehicle, a PT Cruiser. This same neighbor had also taken pictures of the same suspect back in November.
Corporal Apuzzio noticed a set of footprints leading from the property to the location the neighbor reported the suspect vehicle was parked. Using both sets of pictures and the vehicle and partial tag information provided, Corporal Apuzzio was able to track down the suspect at a residence in the 8400 block of Miramar Road in Pasadena.
Police report that it was quickly determined the suspect was a frequent scrapper and did not have permission to be on the victim’s property. Evidence from the victim’s property was located and the suspect admitted to being on the property. Detectives from the metals unit responded and interviewed the suspect. The suspect was charged with second and fourth degree burglary, trespassing and theft under $100.
Suspect: Brian Keith Cain Sr., 40, of 8453 Miramar Road, Pasadena, Md.
