Virginia State Police identify man who died in fiery crash as Logan Bagby

Police say that Logan Bagby, 22, of Powhatan, Virginia, was the driver and only occupant of a Ford Ranger pickup which was traveling north on Walkers Ridge Road when it ran off the road left struck a parked 2010 Toyota Corolla, the vehicle continued on striking a tree at which point it caught fire and became fully engulfed and burning Bagby alive.

A 2006 Freightliner tractor-trailer and a 2015 Subaru Outback were headed north on I-95 when the drivers began engaging with one another. Their behavior progressed to the point of the Subaru driving down the right shoulder, pulling up alongside the tractor-trailer and its driver shooting at the tractor-trailer

ALEXANDRIA, VA. – Fairfax County Police report that crash reconstruction detectives are investigating a crash that took place at around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13.

A 40-year-old Alexandria area man was reportedly sitting in the center of Route 1 Northbound just prior to Southgate Drive outside of the crosswalk. The man was stuck by two vehicles. It does not appear that speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash on the part of the drivers and it is unknown why the victim was in the roadway.

At about 8:36 PM CCSO received a report of shots fired and someone hollering at the same address. When Deputy Burgoon arrived, he found Woolen’s pickup vandalized- with the windows broken, the tires slashed, and the headlights knocked out. During his investigation, Burgoon recovered a wooden baseball bat used by Burrell to break the glass. Burrell reported that Woolen threatened him with something, and he reacted by getting a butcher knife and swinging it at him. Burrell was arrested for attempted malicious wounding, destruction of property, impersonating a law enforcement officer, and false report to a law enforcement officer. He is held at Culpeper County Jail without bond.
