DUNDALK, MD. — (Commentary) — Another Maryland memory has been painted with bullets in spite of tough gun laws enacted by legislators in Annapolis hell-bent to take away gun rights from law-abiding citizens while criminals break the law to be armed and perpetrate crimes. ‘Empty-headed liberals’ doesn’t began to describe the insanity. Anti-gun nuts should simply post a sign in front of their homes that there are no firearms in the home due to their political beliefs.
Homicide detectives were able to identify the deceased as Seydou Alassane Ba, 46, of the 400 block of Christopher Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Detectives have notified family members and are in the process of conducting interviews with several witnesses. The Anne Arundel County Recruit Class responded to the area this afternoon and conducted an extensive search of the area looking for items of possible evidentiary value.
Just before 6 p.m. Monday night, a Police supervisor was in the area of Johnnycake Road and Upper Mills Circle when he heard gunshots. He investigated the sounds and found a male victim running down the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Another victim was found deceased in a car on Upper Mills Circle. He has been identified as 23-year-old James Wesley Cornish of the 6000 block of Cecil Avenue 21207.
Robbery detectives are also working to identify these two suspects and the SUV seen in the above photos. The two men are wanted in connection with a convenience store robbery in the 3700 block of Hamilton Street on August 10, 2014. The vehicle is described as a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with gray a bumper and trim with unknown Washington DC tags and chrome rims. Clyde C. Campbell, 53, of the 1700 block of Manor Road, 21222, was charged Wednesday evening and is held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. (Campbell had been arrested Monday morning in Dundalk on weapons charges unrelated to the Grubb case and has been held at BCDC since then.)
Grubb was reported missing to BCoPD by her daughter Saturday evening; she was last seen Thursday evening. The daughter said she was concerned because of a history of domestic violence between her mother and Campbell
