Both men have been charged with first degree murder and attempted first degree murder. They are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Just before 6 p.m. Monday night, a Police supervisor was in the area of Johnnycake Road and Upper Mills Circle when he heard gunshots. He investigated the sounds and found a male victim running down the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Another victim was found deceased in a car on Upper Mills Circle. He has been identified as 23-year-old James Wesley Cornish of the 6000 block of Cecil Avenue 21207.

Officers were able to determine that the suspects had fled the area in a red van. That van was located on westbound Baltimore National Pike towards the Howard County line. The van fled from police and crashed into numerous vehicles, including police cars while attempting to escape.

Officers were able to get the van stopped on Baltimore National Pike at the Howard County line. Jordan Nathaniel Jackson and Christopher Andre Williams were in the vehicle and were taken into custody.

Police also recovered two firearms from the van.

The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that one victim was sitting in a car and one victim was outside of the car when the suspects approached in a red van. The suspects exited the van and began shooting at the victim in the car. The victim that was outside of the car was shot in the lower body as he ran from the scene.

Homicide investigators credit the timely response and actions of Woodlawn Precinct patrol officers for the quick capture of the suspects in this case.

This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit. Investigators are working to determine a motive for this crime and if the victims were targeted.
