LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – Police say that a man who stole a truck after trying to choke a person raced away from a patrol car on Great Mills Road and then crashed into the porch of mobile home in Lord Calvert Trailer Park in Great Mills.

The record of this five-time DUI driver stretches back for years in Maryland and spans three counties and four different States Attorneys and at least that many District Court and Circuit Court Judges. St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on January 21, 2015, at 8:18 PM, deputies responded to a residence in the 19000 block of Three Notch Road for a reported assault. While responding to the residence, the Emergency Communications Center, (ECC), advised the suspect identified as Christopher Lee Cotsford, 32, of Great Mills, allegedly stole a vehicle, 1997 Ford Explorer, and fled the scene.

Hunt made contact with the complainant, who advised that Adam Thomas Wilkins, 19, of California, had admitted to using CDS. The complainant advised that he observed Adam’s level of intoxication worsen as time went on and called for police assistance and an ambulance. Mr. Wilkins refused medical treatment and was arrested for CDS Possession – Not Marijuana and CDS Possess Paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

(August 25, 2014) – According to Ocean City Maryland Police, on August 24, 2014, at approximately 3:12 a.m. Ocean City police were dispatched to area of 109 North Atlantic Avenue to assist Ocean City EMS, for a victim of an assault that had already occurred. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male that was unconscious and unresponsive in the parking lot of an area hotel.

First responders from the Ocean City Police and Fire Departments initiated emergency lifesaving procedures on the victim and transported him to Atlantic General Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Justin Daniel Cancelliere, 37, North Whitehall, PA.

PRINCE FREDERICK, MD. — One driver who should have been arrested when first stopped by a trooper was instead given a break and allowed to call someone to drive his vehicle, due to his driver’s license being suspended.

Maryland State Police report that on 7/7/14 at 4:56 pm, Trooper First Class Lewis stopped a vehicle on Rt. 231 and Thoroughbred Dr. for traffic violations. Avon D. Cochran, 23 of Waldorf, was driving on a suspended license. He was advised he could not continue to drive and he agreed to make arrangements for his own disposition. Approximately 5 minutes later, after resuming traffic enforcement, TFC Lewis located Cochran driving on Church St. in Prince Frederick. He was arrested for failing to obey a lawful order. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

The suspect is identified as Germaine J. Wiggins, 34, who is also known to use the name Prince & Mack Luxury, of Frostburg, Md. He is charged with two counts each of human trafficking/benefit financially, human trafficking/explicit perform, prostitution, and kidnapping. He is being held in the Cecil County Detention Center without bond.
