The officer shot in the Dundalk police-involved shooting in Dundalk is Officer First Class Slocum, assigned to Precinct 12/Dundalk. She is a 13-year veteran of BCoPD. She remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Anne Arundel Police report that the Christmas Drinking, Driving and Dying Season took another uptick with a possibly intoxicated pedestrian from a homeless shelter being run over by a possible DUI driver after the walking boozer had already been hit by another driver who had stopped. The suspected DUI driver didn’t stop but was tracked down by the cops.
Preliminary investigation determined that a Nissan Sentra operated by Manuel A. Valencia of 1204 Summerwood Court in Arnold, Md., was southbound on Ritchie Hwy facing a red left turn arrow. The driver of that vehicle turned left towards College Pkwy in the path of a GMC truck that was headed northbound on Ritchie Hwy. The GMC struck the passenger side of the Nissan causing it to overturn. The vehicles eventually came to rest after the GMC pushed the Nissan sideways out of the intersection into the traffic signal support pole
The suspect is identified as Jimmie Junior Rogers II, 27, of 8409 Terry Lee Way, Severn, Maryland. Rogers was charged with Human Trafficking of a minor and related prostitution charges. Rogers was taken to the Anne Arundel County District Court where he is awaiting an appearance.
