Glen Burnie: cops snare multi-level marketing expert with cash, heroin and cocaine. On June 23, 2014, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers from the Eastern District Tactical Patrol Unit were checking an individual known to have multiple warrants in the 400 block of Secluded Post Circle in Glen Burnie. Officers approached the person and he fled on foot, but was apprehended after a brief foot chase without incident. Upon searching the suspect, he was found to be in possession of a plastic baggie containing (1-1/2 oz.) heroin, (1 gram) cocaine, prescription medications (valued over $5,300) and over $1,600 in currency that was seized. The suspect was served the outstanding warrants and charged with drug possession and distribution.

The Oak Tree Always Wins

Preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle spun out of control and left the roadway where it ultimately struck a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at University of Maryland Shock Trauma at 10:26 p.m. Excessive speed is the main contributing factor in this collision. Alcohol usage and is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

CROWNSVILLE, MD. Anne Arundel County Police report that two black males struck out for more dough, the kind they don’t have to work for and can’t eat, when they robbed a pizza joint.

On June 19, 2014, at approximately 2:24 p.m., officers from the Western District responded to the S&K Pizza & Subs located in the 1300 block of Generals Highway in Crownsville for a report of an armed robbery of the business.

Anne Arundel County Police report that on 6/13/14 at approximately 1537 hrs. officers from the Southern District responded to the Ulta Beauty cosmetics store in the Harbor Center shopping center at 2566 Solomons Island Rd, in Annapolis, for a reported shoplifting that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to a store manager who stated that a black female entered the store and placed a large amount of perfume into a store shopping bag

Upon arrival, officers observed a Mercedes 300D with the operator blowing the horn repeatedly. Upon making contact with that driver, identified as Robert Knickerbocker, officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the operator’s breath and noticed that his eyes were glassy and his speech was mumbled and slurred. The operator exited the vehicle and identified himself as a police officer with the Maryland Natural Resources Police.

MURDER USA: Dispute at hobo camp ends with man charged in beating victim to death with stick

Anne Arundel County Homicide detectives responded to the scene and conducted several interviews with witnesses. During the interviews, it was learned that an altercation took place between the victim and 44-year-old Joseph Eugene Wright of no fixed address. The altercation took place in the 7400 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in the wooded area. During the altercation, Joseph Wright used a stick to strike the victim.

Guns and drugs in the wilds of Anne Arundel

Anne Arundel County Police report that on May 14, 2014 at approximately 7:oo pm, detectives from Northern District’s Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) and Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) were working in an undercover capacity in the area of Church Street, in the Brooklyn area. While in the area, undercover TPU detectives made contact with two individuals in the area of Gischel and Church Streets. After a search of the individuals, detectives recovered a sawed-off 20 gauge Western Field Shot gun and (18) 20 gauge Remington shot gun shells.
