Shoplifting/Assault – Annapolis
ANNAPOLIS, MD. — Anne Arundel County Police report that on 6/13/14 at approximately 1537 hrs. officers from the Southern District responded to the Ulta Beauty cosmetics store in the Harbor Center shopping center at 2566 Solomons Island Rd, in Annapolis, for a reported shoplifting that had just occurred.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to a store manager who stated that a black female entered the store and placed a large amount of perfume into a store shopping bag. The suspect then walked out of the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise she took from the store. When another store employee approached the suspect and attempted to grab the bag of merchandise the suspect had taken, another black female waiting in front of the store sprayed the employee in the face with pepper spray. The employee that was pepper sprayed was treated by fire department personnel at the scene and transported by the fire department to a local hospital for further treatment. The store manager was also affected by the pepper spray but declined medical treatment.
The suspect who took the merchandise was described as a heavy set black female possibly in her 20’s wearing a gray t-shirt and black pants. The suspect who used the pepper spray was described as a black female also possibly in her 20’s wearing a black t-shirt and white shorts.
The suspects were last seen leaving the area in newer model white four door car with the rear license plate covered by a plastic bag. The suspects matched the description of suspects in prior thefts from Ulta Beauty stores in the area.
Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspects or suspect vehicle.
On 6-13-14 at 1537 hrs a FAT GIRL — heavy set b/f, entered the Ulta Beauty Store at the Annapolis Harbor Center and stole approximately $1000.00 dollars of fragrance from the store shelves. Upon leaving a second suspect, b/f, thin build, waited at the door and as sales staff attempted to stop suspect one, the second suspect sprayed chemical spray at employees assisting suspect one’s escape. Both suspects fled entering a waiting white compact to mid-size vehicle, with a missing right front hubcap.
