MURDER USA Judge sentenced Troy Allen Lucas to two life prison terms for murder of Federal witness

Long was shot twice in the head on March 24, 2008, in an open area behind Traci Atkins Park in southwest Baltimore known as the “Lumber Yard.”  The evidence presented at trial showed that Long was shot with a .25 caliber handgun at close range and that Lucas used, carried, and discharged the gun that caused Long’s death.

The original witnesses were re-interviewed, and they recanted their previous statements to investigators. Investigators moved quickly to bring the new information to prosecutors to drop the charges against Copes and obtain an arrest warrant for Christopher.

Judge sends cocaine chef Mario ‘Unda’ Wair to slammer for 15 years

Trial evidence showed that two to three times per week Wair supplied cocaine to a co-defendant who cooked the cocaine into crack cocaine. The crack cocaine was then sold to other distributors and in user-quantity amounts to street level customers. Wair either was present when the cocaine was cooked into crack cocaine or would call to check in on the quality of the crack cocaine.
