ST. GEORGE ISLAND — According to St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron on June 17, 2014 at 12:04 AM, while conducting a premise check, Deputy A. Cole and Deputy L. Johnson located Yoni A Alvarez Granados, 37, of Bryans Road, and Arturo Ernesto Rosa-Lopez, 33, of Woodbridge, Virginia, on the property of Camp Merryelande located in Piney Point, likely to get in some free fishing. The investigation revealed Rosa-Lopez and Granados had walked across another property owned by a citizen to get to the Camp Merryelande property and were fishing when they were found by deputies. “No Trespassing” signs were clearly posted on both properties. Both suspects were charged with Trespass: Private Property by criminal citation.

Further investigation indicated that this source was located in a home in the 6600 block of Edenvale Road 21209. Detectives served a search and seizure warrant on that home and recovered numerous computer storage media items. Some of these items were found to contain images of child pornography.

The investigation has indicated that 44-year-old Jonathan J Lewin of the home in the 6600 block of Edenvale Road 21209 was responsible for the images on the computer storage media and that he knowingly and willfully possessed and distributed child pornography. He was taken into custody by detectives at the home.

The Saint Lucian pirate ship which was featured in several Hollywood movies including “Pirates of the Caribbean” may not be salvageable, a top Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard official has told Saint Lucia Times.

“Given the depth of water in which it sank I doubt that is possible,” Lieutenant Ralphie Ragguette told the Times via telephone.

Raguette said he believed the vessel was very old and suggested that possible structural problems may have contributed to the boat sinking, although he admitted that he had received no information directly from the crew.

The O’Malley Administration, in a clear swipe at the public they are supposed to be serving picked FRIDAY — the day before the Memorial Day weekend, to close the service centers for a SERVICE REDUCTION DAY…. in spite of hiking every damn tax and fee that exists over the past 8 years.
