Murder USA: Seydou Ba killer sought in Anne Arundel

Homicide detectives were able to identify the deceased as Seydou Alassane Ba, 46, of the 400 block of Christopher Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Detectives have notified family members and are in the process of conducting interviews with several witnesses. The Anne Arundel County Recruit Class responded to the area this afternoon and conducted an extensive search of the area looking for items of possible evidentiary value.

PG prosecutors send armed carjacker to prison

Prince Georges County States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks, reports that Keith Queen was sentenced to a maximum 30 years in prison for Armed Carjacking and related charges after a 2014 incident in which he stole a 58-year-old victim’s car.

The victim was pumping gas at a station on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway, when Mr. Queen approached him and asked for money. When the victim told the defendant that he only had five dollars, which he was using to buy gas, Mr. Queen ultimately pulled out a knife and stole the man’s car.

Police say that on 18 November 2014 at 12:00 PM a deputy arrested a wanted fugitive from the State of Delaware in the 1100 block of Pocahontas Avenue. Quindell Timmons was being sought by Delaware authorities in connection with a CDS Possession with the Intent to Deliver or Manufacture

EASTON, MD. — The conviction of Harry M. Walsh Jr., a former Talbot County attorney, for possession and exchanging of thousands of images of child pornography in Florida raises serious questions about a possible cover-up in Easton.

Walsh, 60, who was disbarred in Maryland in 2006 was convicted in Florida; last month was sentenced to more than 63 years in prison.

So. Md. Police Beat: Boozing pedestian took fatal walk into traffic

Initial investigation revealed, Brian Todd Cooper, age 51, of Mechanicsville, was illegally in the roadway while crossing the northbound lanes of Point Lookout Road. Cooper entered the path of a 2014 Ford Taurus, operated by Richard L. Buckler, 69, of Leonardtown, and was struck by the vehicle. Cooper suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police report that on November 10th at 4:28PM, officers responded to the 12500 block of Oakwood Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a reported shooting. Officers arrived in the area and located the victim on a pathway between the Woodbridge Senior High School and adjoining neighborhood.

The victim, identified as a 16 year old male juvenile who attends Woodbridge Senior High School, sustained gunshot related injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. On November 11th, detectives from the Homicide Unit identified four suspects in connection to this case.

PARSONBURG, MD. — On 10 February 2014, a deputy began an investigation into a burglary and theft at a residence in the 33000 block of Bear Swamp Road in Parsonsburg. In this incident a subject forced entry by breaking a window and removed power tools and a camera. The investigating deputy discovered the items for sale in a local pawn shop in Salisbury and identified the individual who brought them in as Kevin Owens of Parsonsburg.

The officer approached the room and observed a vehicle that was occupied. The officer approached the vehicle to investigate if it was involved while still being conscientious of room #225. As the officer walked up on the vehicle, he observed the door of room #225 open with a male suspect exiting and holding a handgun.

The officer immediately drew his firearm and announced his presence at which time a second male suspect with a handgun exited the room. Both suspects then fled on foot toward Russet Green with the officer in pursuit.
