Court NewsUPPER MARLBORO, MD. — Prince Georges County States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks, reports that Keith Queen was sentenced to a maximum 30 years in prison for Armed Carjacking and related charges after a 2014 incident in which he stole a 58-year-old victim’s car.

The victim was pumping gas at a station on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway, when Mr. Queen approached him and asked for money. When the victim told the defendant that he only had five dollars, which he was using to buy gas, Mr. Queen ultimately pulled out a knife and stole the man’s car.

The victim called police from inside the gas station and upon reviewing the surveillance video, the officer recognized Mr. Queen as a man who frequently loitered outside a liquor store across the street. Officers soon received a call for a nearby hit-and-run three minutes away from where the victim’s car was stolen.

The victim soon identified the car and within hours, officers apprehended Mr. Queen, who had fled the scene but was now standing in front of the liquor store located across the street from the gas station.
