Delaware State Police Beat: shoot-out at Budget Motel makes Bates Motel look safe

As the subject was still sitting in his vehicle, a male suspect, who was standing on the motel balcony, began firing multiple shots towards the car from a gun, striking it numerous times. The victim was able to exit his vehicle and flee from the area. He was not injured. The suspect, along with a second male who was with him, both fled from the motel in an unknown make and model vehicle.

Delaware State Police Beat: Police believe speed and booze sent Jeep flipping into pole; cut in half, killing driver

The initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred as a 46-year-old Middletown, Del., man was operating a 2002 Jeep Liberty and was traveling in a northbound direction on Dexter Corner Road north of Ratledge Road, just south of Townsend. For an unknown reason, the Jeep left the east edge of Dexter Corner Road before veering back onto the roadway and leaving the west edge where it began to overturn.
