Further investigation revealed that the suspect also had two rifles, one of which was an assault rifle, along with a shotgun and ammunition in the vehicle.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted and stabbed.
The suspect, who was armed with an unknown make and model handgun, confronted the employees of the business and demanded money from the cash registers.
The suspect was identified as Douglas W. Walker, 39 of Wilmington. After obtaining a search warrant for the suspect’s vehicle evidence linking him to the robbery was located inside the vehicle.
