The Coast Guard rescues two people Sunday, March 8, 2015, from a sinking boat approximately 35 miles southeast of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. The Coast Guard received an EPIRB alert from the vessel and contacted watchstanders at Shaw Air Force Base who contacted the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing who confirmed the location of the vessel with the help of F-16s conducting training offshore. Consequently, the officers conducted an investigative traffic stop on the vehicle, a blue 1999 Lincoln Town Car, near Costco in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. Inside of the vehicle, officers located .380 shell casings in plain view along with a .380 semi-automatic handgun, which is the same caliber handgun used in the shots fired incidents. Ballistics testing on the gun and casings preliminarily indicates a match. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle as identified as Hong Young, 35, of 4909 Daisy Creek Terrace in Beltsville, Maryland. Young was taken into custody and subsequent interviews along with the evidence recovered from the vehicle confirmed that he was responsible for all five shots fired incidents in the region.
On March 4, 2015, at 8:15 pm, a woman was walking in the 3800 block of 38th Avenue in Cottage City when the suspect grabbed her from behind, put a knife to her throat and attacked her in a secluded area off the street. On Thursday, detectives were able to identify Diggs as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. Friday afternoon, the PGPD’s Fugitive Squad captured Diggs in Waldorf, where he was arrested without incident.
The preliminary investigation reveals Police Officer Brennan Rabain was attempting to make a traffic stop at about 3:30 am when, for reasons still unknown, his cruiser left the roadway and struck a wooden fence. The 26-year-old officer was pronounced dead on the scene.
A 1999 Mercury Mountaineer was traveling west on Interstate 64 when it ran off the road right and struck several trees.
The three residents were identified as a 21-year-old male from Elkton, Maryland, a 21-year-old female from Glen Burnie, Maryland and a 21-year-old male from Newark, Delaware. It is believed that all three victims sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the gunshots. All three victims were familiar with the suspect according to Investigators. The victims stated that all of the subjects were downstairs watching television when the suspect began shooting after being told to lower his voice.

Virginia State Police say Juan W. Flores Orellana was driving too fast for icy roads when he crashed and died. The troopers investigation revealed that a 2006 Ford Econoline van was traveling south on Interstate 295 at a speed that was unsafe for road conditions when the vehicle ran off the road to the right and struck a tree.
On March 4 (Wednesday) at approximately 12:09 p.m., State Police responded to a call of a shooting on Interstate 95 near the 32 mile marker in Sussex County. A 2006 Freightliner tractor-trailer and a 2015 Subaru Outback were headed north on I-95 when the drivers began engaging with one another. Their behavior progressed to the point of the Subaru driving down the right shoulder, pulling up alongside the tractor-trailer and its driver shooting at the tractor-trailer
At that time, the accused attempted sexual contact with a female dog, identified as a Husky/Lab mix, also owned by the accused. Around the same time, the accused also filmed other acts with animals committed in other jurisdictions and distributed them over the internet from a computer at his home. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the home at that time. As a result of the search, evidence and both dogs were located in the residence.
