‘Shut Up Tyree’ started a Tirade of Bullets Sending Three to Hospitals
ELKTON, MD. A shouted request to a man with an alleged big mouth was the linch-pin for a firing pin. According to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, when a bozo was told to shut the hell up, he did not take it too well and began to unload his gun on his friends.
Police say that on March 3, 2015 at approximately 6:00 PM, Cecil County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of East Village Road Elkton in reference to shots fired complaint. Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Office deputies located evidence of multiple gunshots inside the residence.
A short time later, deputies made contact with three victims who had been hauled off by friends to Union Hospital in Elkton, Maryland and Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
The victim that had been transported to Union Hospital by friends and then to Christiana Hospital for further treatment. Investigators learned that the three victims were inside the residence when another subject inside the residence brandished a handgun and began shooting. CCSO investigators are actively investigating this incident. The three victims are currently being treated at Christiana Hospital for gunshot wounds.
The three residents were identified as a 21-year-old male from Elkton, Maryland, a 21-year-old female from Glen Burnie, Maryland and a 21-year-old male from Newark, Delaware. It is believed that all three victims sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the gunshots. All three victims were familiar with the suspect according to Investigators. The victims stated that all of the subjects were downstairs watching television when the suspect began shooting after being told to lower his voice.
The suspect was identified as Tyree Naquand Pollard (black male, 25 years old, unit block of Regal Court Newark, Delaware). CCSO was assisted by the Newark, DE Police, who apprehended the suspect in Newark as a result of a suspicious person complaint in town. Pollard has outstanding warrants in Maryland and Delaware and is being held in Delaware pending extradition to Maryland.
