The Dover Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit reportedly is investigating a shooting that occurred on April 28, 2015 in the 100 block of South Queen Street. Police say that at approximately 3:01 PM, a 27-year-old male was shot three times.
Salisbury Fire Department crews training in multiple disciplines recently at the Riverside Drive boat ramp. Members trained in boat operations, drafting, and supplying an aerial device. Salisbury Fire and EMS personnel average 2 hours of training a day; ensuring they maintain their operational readiness.
As for Governor Hogan: he said over and over he was frustrated that the mayor didn’t call. What a lot of malarkey. He is the elected Governor of the State of Maryland and has the executive authority to act, not to retreat to the more partisan political ineptitude of which the political leaders of the nation excel. Protocol? What protocol is it that the Governor has to wait to send in troops and police to keep order in the streets? Where is that written? He said he was ready to issue the order and did so thirty seconds after the Mayor FINALLY called for help. He said he already had the National Guard on alert. Why did it take until after midnight, six hours later before the first troops arrived in the heart of the riot area at six minutes after midnight?
If the people in Baltimore want change, then they need to change the people in government. The Baltimore mayor stated on Monday that she was allowing distance so that those who wanted to destroy could do so. What kind of leadership is that? Later, she denied stating that and blamed the media for taking her comment out of context. There is absolutely no way that her comment could possibly be misunderstood. I listened to it several times

The preliminary investigation indicated the 1993 Chevrolet Caprice was traveling southbound on Pegg Road when it left the roadway, struck a guardrail on the northbound shoulder, and overturned. The vehicle came to rest in a wooded area on the northbound side of Pegg Road.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the incident as a homicide and said that at 5:01 this morning deputies responded to the area of Clint Lane in southern Stafford County for reports of shots fired.
Officer Love’s tenacity and good old fashion police work lead to the arrest of one suspect and possibly two more that had started a pattern of burglaries in the Crofton Community. Also, property was recovered from several other burglaries. If it were not for his actions there is no telling how many more burglaries would have been committed before an arrest would have been affected and the spree put to a halt. Officer Love is truly deserving of the Officer of the Month for Western District for the month of March 2015.
