<h2>DWI HIT PARADE: Boozing driver Michael Laciny slumbered his way to the slammer with 4 guns and drugs</h2>
<p>(<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Mechanicsville, MD) – Maryland State Trooper Eric Evans from the Leonardtown Barrack arrested a Charles County man for impaired driving early on Aug. 9, 2016, which led to the seizure of four guns, almost 800 prescription pills, and a felony arrest.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The accused is identified as Michael Anthony Laciny, 50, of 3174 Saint Peters Church Road in Waldorf, Maryland. Laciny is charged with two felony handgun charges, CDS possession, not marijuana, CDS possession with intent to distribute, CDS possession of paraphernalia and DUI. Laciny was transported to the Saint Mary’s County Court Commissioner’s office.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Cpl. DaVaughn Parker of the Maryland State Police Media Affairs Office, reports that at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 9, 2016, troopers from the Leonardtown Barrack received a 9-1-1 call from a motorist reporting a reckless and possibly intoxicated driver traveling on MD Rt. 5 in St. Mary’s County. The caller reported the suspect was driving a blue cargo truck bearing Maryland registration.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Within minutes, Trooper Evans spotted the 2015 Ford truck in the Wawa located at the intersection of Rt. 235 and Rt. 5 in Mechanicsville, Md. Laciny appeared to be sleeping in the driver seat, with the vehicle engine running.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">As Trooper Evans approached the driver’s side window, an unyielding odor of alcohol was detected. Further investigation led troopers to the arrest of Laciny for suspected impaired driving. A further search of the vehicle revealed four loaded handguns almost 800 prescription pills.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Court records show that Laciny woke up enough at his initial court appearance to waive an attorney and was allowed to post bond and leave jail to continue his snooze elsewhere.</span></p>
