Prince William Police Beat Carlton Frye III charged pistol-whipping victim during armed robbery

WOODBRIDGE, VA.  – Prince William County Police reports that on July 29, officers located and arrested one of the suspects involved in the robbery which occurred in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge on July 25, 2016. The victim of the robbery spotted the suspect walking along Constellation Pl in Woodbridge and contact police. Officers arrived in the area and located the suspect. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Carlton Lindsey FRYE III, was arrested. The other two suspects involved in this investigation remained unidentified.  

Police say that on July 25 at 3:38 AM, officers responded to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 23-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men.

During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun and demanded the victim walk to the rear of a nearby business. Once there, a third unknown man brandishing a handgun appeared and demanded money. At some point, one of the suspects struck the victim multiple times in the head causing him to lose consciousness. The victim eventually woke up when one of the suspects attempted to take off his shoes. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone, wallet, shoes, and money before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located.

Teen Thug arrested in armed robbery

DUMFRIES, VA. –  Police say that on July 31, 2016, officers located and arrested one of the suspects involved in the robbery which occurred in the 3000 block of Graham Park Rd in Dumfries on July 31. During the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified this suspect on July 15 as a 17-year-old male juvenile. This suspect was eventually located by members of the Bike Team on Port Hope Pl in Dumfries where he was arrested. Two firearms were also recovered. The other two suspects involved in this investigation remained unidentified.

Police say a man trying to buy drugs was robbed and punched – what happened to honest drug dealers?

DUMFRIES, VA. – Police report that on July 13, 2016, at 9:47 PM, officers responded to the 3000 block of Graham Park Rd in Dumfries, Va., to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 48-year-old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was in the above area attempting to conduct a narcotics transaction when he was approached by the three unknown males. During the encounter, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim to get on the ground.  The suspects then relieved the victim of his money, his cell phone, and keys. At some point, one of the suspects punched the victim in the head prior to fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. The investigation continues.

 

Nabbed by security for allegedly shoplifting, Shakeria Reid charged with taking a bite out of crime stopper

WOODBRIDGE, VA. — Shakeria Reid didn’t take too well to being halted by security when in the process of taking FREE STUFF without a visit to the cashier when shoplifting in Penney’s.

Police say that on July 25, the suspect involved in the assault which occurred at the J C Penny located at 2700 Potomac Mill Cir in Woodbridge on July 19, 2016, was arrested.        

On July 19 at 6:51PM, officers responded to the J C Penney located at 2700 Potomac Mill Cir in Woodbridge, Va.,  to investigate an assault. A loss prevention associate with the store, a 36-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was attempting to take the accused into custody for concealing merchandise. During the encounter, the accused bit the victim in the arm causing a laceration then fled the area on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. Following the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for the accused, identified as Shakeria Nicole REID. Attempts to locate REID have been unsuccessful.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 3 at 6:34AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Klein Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 26-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim several times. At some point, the accused grabbed the victim and began to choke her. The accused eventually fled the area and the victim contacted police.  Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the accused, identified as Leo Darryl HARRINGTON. Attempts to locate HARRINGTON have been unsuccessful.

WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Prince William County Police report that on August 1 at 5:25 AM, officers responded to the commuter lot located at 13455 Telegraph Rd. in Woodbridge, Va., to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 33-year-old woman, reported to police that she was walking in the commuter lot towards the bus stop area when she was approached her from behind by the driver of a black pick-up truck. The driver reached out of the window and grabbed the victim’s backpack from her shoulder before fleeing at a high rate of speed. Minor injuries were reported. Due to the incident happening quickly, the victim was unable to describe the driver. This suspect vehicle used in this incident was similar to an earlier robbery at the Wal-Mart on Worth Ave. in Woodbridge.

Crime ReportIn what police may be an earlier attack and robbery, on July 31, 2016, at 11:36 PM, officers responded to the Wal-Mart located at 14000 Worth Ave in Woodbridge, Va., to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 61-year-old woman, reported to police that she was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot when she was approached by the driver of a black pick-up truck. After a brief interaction, the driver opened the door and lunged towards the victim, grabbing her purse from her shoulder. The driver got back into the vehicle and struck a parked vehicle before fleeing. No injuries were reported.               

Suspect Description: Black male, approximately 40 years of age, 6’0″, 200 lbs with a muscular build, clean shaven face, short hair, was last seen wearing a black t-shirt.

Gangland Gunfire Sends Manuel Soto-Diaz to Slammer

TRIANGLE, VA. – Rolling and random gunfire from a pickup may be legal in third world countries, but in Prince William County it is still against the law. Police report that on July 31, 2016, at 11:31PM, officers responded to the area of Barnette Cir. and White Oak Dr. in Triangle, Va., to investigate a shots fired call. Multiple callers reported to police that shots were fired in the above area by the driver of a large, white pick-up truck. Responding officers located a vehicle matching the description provided on Fuller Heights Rd. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as the accused. Through the investigation, officers were able to determine that the accused fired the handgun from his vehicle while stopped in the above area. The shots were fired towards a tree line near that location. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Manuel Enrique SOTO-DIAZ, was arrested.
