Malicious Wounding | Assault by Mob – On July 6th at 7:08PM, officers responded to the Valero Service Station located at 13295 Trowbridge Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a fight with weapons.
The victims, a 28 year old man and a 25 year old man – both of Woodbridge, reported to police that they were pulling into the gas station when another vehicle, occupied by three of the accused individuals below, pulled in front, cutting them off. A verbal altercation ensued between the parties involved. The suspects eventually got back into their vehicle and left. The suspects returned a short time later, with a fourth individual. Another verbal altercation ensued before the suspects left again and then returned with a fifth individual.
At that point, a physical altercation ensued between the two victims and the five suspects. During the encounter, the victims were reportedly assaulted by the suspects using blunt objects including a pair of nanchakus, chains, and a glass bottle. The suspects left the area prior to officers arriving on scene. A witness was able to provide officers with a tag number of their vehicle. Officers located the suspects at their residence on Hoffman Dr in Woodbridge where they were detained without further incident. Non-life threatening injuries were reported by the victims. Following the investigation, the accused individuals were arrested.

Malicious Wounding | Resisting Arrest – On July 4th at 11:58PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15600 block of Plain Dealing Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight with weapons. The investigation revealed that a verbal altercation ensued between the victim, a 36 year old man of Woodbridge, and the accused, a known acquaintance. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and cut the victim in the shoulder. Minor injuries were reported. Additional residents of the home detained the accused until police arrived. As officers attempted to arrest the accused, he actively resisted. The accused was eventually detained. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as a juvenile, was arrested.

Armed Robbery *ADDITIONAL SUSPECT SOUGHT – Woodbridge, Va. — Prince William County Police report that on July 3rd, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified a third suspect involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 17000 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries on June 20th. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against that suspect, identified as the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Wanted for robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony
Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 20th at 2:20PM, officers responded to the 17000 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he arranged a meeting with an unknown man in a parking lot in the area above. Once there, the victim was robbed at gunpoint but the suspect and another man. The man took property from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. This incident was not random. On June 23rd, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify both men involved in this robbery. The suspects were identified as Terrence HASKINS and Tevon HASKINS. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against both men who were located and arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force in Centreville on June 30th.

Burglary while Armed – On July 7th at 12:24AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6000 block of Popes Creek Pl in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that she and two other occupants of the home were tied up after multiple masked suspects entered the residence. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, various electronics, jewelry, and a handgun from the home before fleeing the area. Other residents returned home and contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. This incident is not random. The investigation continues.
Malicious Wounding – On July 5th at 12:10PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 7900 block of Meadow Ct in Manassas (20109). The victim, a 23 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was in the area above when he was approached by three men. During the encounter, the victim was struck in the head with a glass bottle and a lawn ornament. After the altercation, the suspects fled on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries and went to an area hospital where police were notified. This incident does not appear to be random.
Malicious Wounding – On July 5th at 7:44PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 1200 block of Potomac Vista Ave in Woodbridge (22191). The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was assaulted by a suspect with a bat while in the area above. The victim sustained minor injuries and went to an area hospital where police were notified. This incident does not appear to be random.
Armed Robbery – On July 6th at 12:06AM, officers responded to the area of Rodes Dr and Seibels Way in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 50 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was walking in the area above when she encountered two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men displayed a knife and took the victim’s purse. Both men then fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 5th at 7:46AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17800 block of Lyda Ln in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a firearms complaint. The homeowner reported to police that a bullet hole was discovered in an exterior awning of the home. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 1:00PM on July 4th and 6:30AM on July 5th. No injuries or other property damaged were reported.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 4th at 1:28AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18700 block of Pier Trail Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate a firearms complaint. The homeowner reported to police that a bullet hole was discovered in an interior bathroom of the home. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 4:00PM and 11:20PM. No one was home when the incident occurred and no injuries or other property damaged were reported.
Residential Burglary – On July 7th at 3:51AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8400 block of Impala Dr. in Manassas (20110) to investigate a burglary in progress. The caller reported to police that several individuals were seen forcibly entering a neighboring vacant home in the above area. Officers arrived and discovered a rear door which had been forced opened. Officers checked the home, no suspects were located.
Commercial Burglary – On July 5th at 10:15AM, officers responded to the Public Storage located at 7909 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime around 12:24AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the office area of the business. There were no signs of forced entry. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and computer modem were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On July 5th at 12:17AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6900 block of Village Stream Pl in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM on July 3rd and 12:17AM on July 5th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On July 3rd at 12:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6700 block of Kimberwick Ct in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00AM on June 19th and 12:30PM on June 30th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
DUI Hit & Run Crash – Fatality – On July 6th at 1:41AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Touchstone Cir and Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver, and only occupant, of a 2010 Nissan Sentra was traveling westbound on Old Bridge Rd when he disregarded the red traffic signal at the intersection above and struck a 1998 Ford Explorer which was making a left turn from Touchstone Cir onto Old Bridge Rd with a green traffic signal. Two children, a 13 year old boy and a 13 year old girl, were unrestrained in the backseat of the Ford Explorer and were both ejected from the vehicle. All occupants of the Ford Explorer, including the driver, 19 year old male passenger, and both children, were transported to area hospitals. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot following the crash. A police K-9 was used to search for the driver who was eventually located a short distance away and identified as the accused. The accused was determined to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision and was arrested. While in custody, it was learned that the accused sustained internal injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The 13 year old girl seated in the backseat of the Ford Explorer died as a result of her injures on July 7th. The other occupants sustained non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On July 4th at 6:24AM, officers responded to the area of Kingswell Dr and Kimbrough Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was shot by the accused, a known acquaintance, while sitting in a vehicle in the above area. The accused fled the area on foot prompting a search by officers, a police helicopter, and a police K-9. The victim was flown to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accused, identified as a juvenile, was located and arrested by detectives on July 5th without further incident.

Strangulation | Assault & Battery – On July 4th at 11:02PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Smallwood Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 32 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim. While investigating this incident, officers further learned of a separate incident involving the same two parties which occurred on June 28th. In that incident, the victim and the accused were involved in another physical altercation. During that encounter, the accused choked the victim. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged in both incidents.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 4th at 11:51PM, a Prince William County police officer was flagged down by a citizen in the 5900 block of Maxfield Ct in Manassas (20112) in reference to disorderly. Officers encountered the party involved, later identified as the accused, who was intoxicated and began to act aggressively towards officers. During the encounter, the accused struck one of the officers in the arm. After a brief struggle, the accused was detained. No injuries were reported. Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 4th at 8:45AM, a Prince William County police officer was in the area of Smoketown Rd and Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) when the officer observed a driver slumped over the wheel of their vehicle. The officer made contact with the driver, later identified as the accused. At that point, the accused exited the vehicle and began to walk away. Officers determined that the accused was under the influence of alcohol and attempted to detain him. During the encounter, the accused actively resisted and struck one of the officers in the shoulder. After a brief struggle, the accused was eventually detained. During a search of the accused, officer located suspected cocaine and marijuana. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Officers determined that the man, later identified as the accused, was under the influence of alcohol and attempted to arrest him. At that point, the accused jumped up and ran into the officer. Narcotics Investigation – On July 3rd, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at 12329 Oakwood Dr in Woodbridge (22192). During the search, prescription medications, suspected cocaine, other drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered.
