Michael L. Johns charged with heroin possession at liquor store lot
SUNDERLAND, MD. — On July 11, 2016, at 6:32 pm, Trooper First Class Warrick responded to the split at Rt. 2 & Rt. 4 for a possible impaired driver lookout. The vehicle was located in the parking lot of Rt 2/4 Liquors. Michael L. Johns, 34 of North Beach was contacted while he was seated in the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia was observed in the front seat of Johns’ vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and .5 grams of suspected heroin was located. Johns was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
Benjamin P. Mooradian just can’t handle his heroin, cops found him passed out in Sunderland
SUNDERLAND, MD. — As Maryland’s heroin epidemic continues without abate, another junkie came close to being slabbed at the Maryland Medical Examiner’s Office. Maryland State Police reports that on July 12, 2016, at 2:35 am, Trooper First Class Matthews responded to the 1800 block of Foggy Bottom Court in Sunderland for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Benjamin P. Mooradian, 27 of North Beach was found unconscious in the front driver’s seat of the running vehicle. After waking Mooradian, he was arrested for possession of heroin that was observed in the front seat of his vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and additional heroin was located. Mooradian was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
All Hell Broke Loose on Easy Street; Home Invasion, Robbery, Assault & Theft:
OWINGS, MD. — On July 16, 2016, at 1:08 am, Trooper First Class Warrick responded to the 9200 block of Easy Street in Owings for a reported home invasion with assault. TFC Warrick made contact with the victim who had a deep laceration above his eye and blood coming from his ear and head. The victim reported two or three black males kicked in the rear door of the residence and awoke him with a silver revolver in his face demanding money. A brief struggle ensued and the victim was knocked unconscious, he contacted 9-1-1. The victim reported that four handguns had been stolen by the suspects. Two of the handguns were located having been dropped when the suspects left the residence. Additional evidence was found at the scene and collected. A Calvert County Sheriff’s Office k-9 conducted a track, however, the track ended not far from the residence.
