Boozing Bandit Busted
DUMFRIES, VA. – Prince William County Police reports that on July 15, 2016, at 12:45 AM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 16170 Country Club Dr. in Dumfries, Va., to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store then brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported. A short time later, officers were responded to the 19200 block of Potomac Crest Dr. in Triangle to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. When officers arrived, they made contact with the driver and two juvenile passengers. During the encounter, officers determined that the driver, identified as the accused, was intoxicated and detained him. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the accused was the suspect involved in the above robbery. A further search of the vehicle recovered the firearm used in the robbery. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Three solved spat with unwanted ATM transaction
WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Prince William County Police reports that former friends became new-found felons after forcing a man to withdraw his cash from ATM.
On July 11, 2016, at 11:30 PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which occurred in the 14300 block of Fairview Ln in Woodbridge, Va., earlier that evening. The victim, a 21-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was approached by three acquaintances regarding an ongoing dispute. During the encounter, the suspects assaulted the victim then demanded money. The victim responded with the suspects to a nearby ATM machine where he withdrew an undisclosed amount of money which the suspects took. The suspects then left the area and the victim later responded to the Gar-Field Station to report the incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers identified two of the suspects as Talha Baber CHAUDHRY and Timothy William LUMUMBA and obtained warrants for their arrest. CHAUDHRY and LUMUMBA were located and arrested without incident at their residences on July 12. The investigation continues.

Choking the old man is a great way to get a new home in the slammer
MANASSAS, VA. – On July 12, 2016, at 6:30 PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Community Dr. in Manassas, Va., to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 59-year-old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and began to strangle him. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. Following the investigation, an officer obtained a petition for the arrest of the accused. The accused was arrested without incident on July 14.

Was that gun really loaded?
TRIANGLE, VA., – Police say that on July14, 2016, at 1:09PM, officers responded to the area of Olde Port Ln and Port Hope Point in Triangle, Va., to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that there was a fight in the above area. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun and began firing at the other party as they left in a vehicle. The suspect then went into a nearby residence. When officers arrived, the accused was located and detained without incident. A search warrant was subsequently executed at the residence by detectives with the Gang Unit and Violent Crimes Bureau. A handgun and ammunition were recovered. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
