Woman’s wrath after being dumped – set fire to his house
OWINGS MILLS, MD. – One District woman apparently decided she wasn’t going to be used and abused, placed outside like yesterday’s newspaper, dumped by her beau. Instead, after getting the news that their time together was done she would pay one last visit to the guy who dumped her and when she did, the cops say she brought gasoline and a lighter.
Baltimore County Police have charged a Washington DC woman after she threw gasoline on her boyfriend and set his house on fire. Police report that she threw gas on the man and pulled out a lighter.
Just before 5 p.m. on July 19, Baltimore County Police were called to a home in the 10800 block of Sherwood Hill Road in Owings Mills for a domestic. While they were still enroute, officers were advised that the house was now on fire. When officers arrived on the scene, they met with the homeowner. He advised that Finley, who is his girlfriend, came to the location and threw gasoline on him. She then held a lighter and stated that she was going to kill him. He then fled the home.
The victim further stated that when he returned, he found a fire inside the home. The fire was extinguished by a sprinkler system.
Lisa Lashell Finley, 29, of the 700 block of Delafield Street in North-East Washington DC has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree arson, and first-degree assault. She is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Finley turned herself in at the Franklin Precinct Monday afternoon.
